What is refractory

Refractory materials generally refer to inorganic non-metallic materials with refractoriness above 1580 ℃. It includes natural ore and in accordance with certain requirements of the purpose of a certain process made of a variety of products, including high alumina brick, clay brick, insulation brick, castable and so on. Has a certain high temperature mechanical properties, good volume stability, is a variety of high temperature equipment necessary materials. So many refractory materials are how to classify?

There are many ways to classify refractory materials. But the main refractory classification methods are:

According to the chemical composition, it can be divided into acid refractory materials, alkaline refractory materials and neutral refractory materials; according to the fire resistance, it can be divided into four categories: ordinary refractory materials (1580 ℃-1770 ℃), advanced refractory materials (1 770-2000 ℃), super refractory materials (above 2000 ℃) and super refractory materials (more than 3000 ℃);

According to the processing and manufacturing process, it can be divided into fired refractory materials, cast refractory materials, non-fired refractory materials; according to the purpose: it can be divided into blast furnace refractory materials, hearth refractory materials, converter refractory materials, continuous casting refractory materials, glass kiln refractory materials, cement kiln refractory materials, etc;

According to the appearance division: can be divided into refractory brick, refractory clay, monolithic refractory materials (for example: castable);

According to the shape and size can be divided into: standard type refractory material, general type refractory material, special type refractory material, special type refractory material and super special type refractory material;

According to the molding process: can be divided into natural rock cutting saw, slurry pouring, plastic molding, semi-dry molding and vibration, ramming, casting molding and other refractory materials;

According to mineral composition, it can be divided into aluminosilicate (clay brick, high alumina brick, semi-silica brick), siliceous (silica brick, fused quartz burning products), magnesia (magnesia brick, magnesia-alumina brick, magnesia brick), carbonaceous (carbon brick, graphite brick), dolomite, aluminosilicate, special refractory products (high purity oxide products, refractory compound products and high temperature composite materials).

Refractory materials have aluminum refractory materials, siliceous refractory materials, magnesia refractory materials, our common aluminum refractory materials are kaolin, bauxite and so on.

How did the name of kaolin come from? Kaolin was named after it was found in Gaoling Village near Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province. The Jingdezhen area, the birthplace of ceramics in the world, is the historical origin of kaolin raw materials, and Xinmi City, Zhengzhou City, is an important aluminum clay producing area in China.

Refractory materials in China has a long history, now all kinds of industrial production is almost inseparable from the refractory material, how to produce energy saving, environmental protection, durable refractory material is the direction of our company's efforts, but also the future trend.
